PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

Never attempt to catch or handle a bat without protective gloves.

If you have been bitten by a bat or if you suspect a bat has had physical contact with a domestic animal, or was found inside a room where it could have made contact with a sleeping person or child, notify your physician or local health department without delay.

BATS IN BUILDINGS

An Information and Exclusion Guide

For a bat trapped in a room:

Open doors and windows. Make a barrier, the breadth of the room, using a sheet suspended by poles. Holding the barrier toward the ceiling, advance slowly. This should encourage a bat outdoors.
