Rescuing injured and orphaned wildlife can be incredibly rewarding. While the work can be challenging, the payoff
is knowing that you played a role - no matter how small -  
in giving an animal a second chance to live wild and free.

We seem to always have many tasks and too few hands. Whether
you want to work in the field, rescuing and transporting wild animals,
or if you would not mind helping to answer the hotline, log data, or
help us with fundraising or public outreach - we probably have a job

WILDLIFE HOTLINE OPERATOR

We are looking for volunteers who wish to learn the skills needed to manage the hotline.

We ask for a minimum of 8 hours per month. During a shift we expect volunteers to be available from home or office to conference in on emergency calls.

Must be 18 years or older. This job does not require travel.

TRANSPORT TEAM

We need volunteers who are willing to help transport wild animals, even short distances, to a licensed care facilities.

Must be 18 years or older, valid driver's license, auto insurance, and excellent driving record.

We ask that our Transport Team volunteers commit to a minimum of 8 hours per month. This could be one single day where one is available, on-call, for 8 hours, or broken up into four days of 2-hour periods.

 

WILDLIFE PARAMEDIC
SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM

We receive a call about an injured animal, arrive on scene and evaluate its condition, administer first aid, and provide transport to a wildlife hospital as needed.

We seek volunteers who are interested in learning the various skills necessary to perform these services, including animal capture and handling techniques, first aid and stabilization, and public relations.

We ask for a minimum of 16 hours per month. During a shift we expect volunteers to be on-call from home or office and available to respond at a moment's notice.

Must be 18 years or older. Must have own transport, valid license, insurance, and excellent driving record.
